    The project planning process identified six outputs for the project. A brief description of the activities for the period of the project is as follows:

    implementation improved and strengthened through:
  3. Mechanisms for support and collaboration between nurses and HIV&AIDS related organizations established through:
  4. Access to and coordination of gender sensitive HIV&AIDS information by nurses will be increased and improved through the following:

    Providing DENOSA provincial secretaries with current, gender sensitive HIV&AIDS resources in electronic format to facilitate distribution to targeted health institutions.

    Incorporating gender sensitive HIV & AIDS information in DENOSA publications and special events.

    Promoting the use of existing gender sensitive HIV&AIDS electronic and print information.

    Providing targeted health facilities with materials on HIV&AIDS in order to promote HIV knowledge amongst nurses.

    Increasing nurse’s awareness regarding employee programs for Occupational Health and Safety, Compensation for Occupational Injuries and diseases Act (COIDA) and Universal Precautions through the development of reader-friendly materials on these complex topics.

  5. Network of DENOSA trained HIV&AIDS advocates established through:
