  • Project Implementation Plans
    The project planning process identified six outputs for the project. A brief description of the activities for the period of the project is as follows:
  1. “Caring of the Carer" Model developed and implemented through:
    Undertaking a "Care of Carer" awareness campaign at health facilities in targeted districts.

    Creating and sustaining nurses’ support groups in nine districts within targeted health institutions.

    Organizing motivational talks by Persons Living with HIV & AIDS (PLWHA) the nine targeted district health facilities.

    Establishing Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) in each public hospital.

    Publishing and distributing brochures to promote the use of existing HIV & AIDS toll-free help lines.

    Developing Models of Best Practice through two, five-day exchange visits with the Zambian Nurses Association and the Botswana Nurses Association who have already developed successful models to increase the capacity of nurses to respond to HIV.

  2. Capacity of DENOSA leadership to contribute to HIV&AIDS policy dialogue and implementation improved and strengthened through:
