Message from General Secretary
Due to the increasing need to create an enabling environment for South African Nurses to influence health policy in a positive way, the 2nd South African Nurses Conference, to be held between 16 and 18 October 2013 at Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre, provides this necessary platform.
Nurses should take advantage of this opportunity to contribute to the improvement in the quality and well-being of the country’s health system by attending this all-important gathering.
The conference will provide a much-needed platform for nurses, who are at the forefront of the country’s healthcare, to dominate discussions on the five key points – practice environment, leadership, education and training, innovation and research, as well as professional development.
Thanks to DENOSA Professional Institute (DPI), this is a necessary conference as it comes at a time when nurses are faced with many challenges in the workplace.
Nurses united will never be defeated!
Thembeka Gwagwa, DENOSA General Secretary.
