DENOSA hosted the International Nurses Day event for nurses in the Free State on the 14^th of May at Universitas Hospital in Bloemfontein where hundreds of nurses celebrated their day in good style

MEC of Health in the province, Dr Benny Malakoane, was in attendance and addressed nurses on this special Day. DENOSA Deputy General Secretary, Madithapo Masemola, addressed represented national office bearers (NOBs) at the event as she delivered the keynote address. MEC Malakoane applauded nurses for the role they have played as the ‘heartbeat’ of the health system and said they should walk tall and with pride.

The celebration was held under the theme: ‘Nurses: A Force for Change; A vital Resource for Health’.
