DENOSA Western Cape Metropole showers kids with gifts on Mandela Day

The tribute to our late Tata Madiba on Mandela Day was honoured on the 17th of July 2015. This combined effort was facilitated by DENOSA Western Cape Metropole and the Western Cape College of Nursing Metro West (Athlone Campus) and the affiliated campuses and the nursing schools of WCCN.
The event was hosted at St Gabriel Church in Gugulethu that cared for abused children. Items that were donated were perishables, soaps, toothpastes, toothbrushes, facecloths, and hand towels. These may appear little, but they go a long way in keeping the well-being of the young ones.
The response to donation was overwhelming. The 67 minutes were spent at the school in career options advice, subject selection, and doing what children do best - play. DENOSA thanks everyone who had participated in making the day a success! Thank you to St Gabriel Church. May you grow from strength to strength.
