Health Minister to address nurses on National Health Insurance

3rd SA Nurses Conference: 24-26 February 2016:
The Democratic Nursing Organisation of South Africa invites the media to the three-day 3rd SA Nurses Conference to be held at the Birchwood Hotel from 24 to 26 February 2016, held under the theme: Together we can strengthen the nursing theory and practice landscape.
Health Minister, Dr Aaron Motsoaledi, will address nurses at this bi-annual conference on National Health Insurance, emphasizing on the role of nurses on it, following the release of the White Paper on NHI in December last year.
Other speakers at the conference, which will be spread out across three days, will include:
- The MEC of Health in Gauteng;
- The Executive Mayor of the City of Ekurhuleni;
- Dr Nonhlanhla Makhanya, Government Chief Nursing and Midwifery Officer
- Professor Laetitia Rispel, Head of Wits School of Public Health;
- The Department of Public Service and Administration (TBC);
- Professor Mavis Mulaudzi, Head of Nursing Science at University of Pretoria; and
- Professor Khethamonie Naidoo.

There will be a question and answer session where nurses will ask questions to the speakers about a range of issues on nursing and get answers on the spot.
