DENOSA National Gender Committee Workshop underway in Pretoria

 

The DENOSA National Gender Committee workshop started at DENOSA Head Office on Thursday 17 November. Second day on Friday 18 November will be a meeting where 16 Days of Activism Campaign will be launched by the organisation, to highlight the violence on women and children. The emphasis of DENOSA will be on the violence on women in the workplace, as well as the importance of nursing forensic nursing and the role it can play in evidence-gathering in cases of abuse.

 

The committee is chaired by DENOSA 2nd Deputy President, Thandeka Msibi, and the deputy chair is Edmund Rhode, who is the chairperson of Southern Cape region in the Western Cape. The workshop will also highlight the need to accept the LGBTI community and how health workers can protect their right.
