Complaints about medical schemes by members
Dear DENOSA members.
DENOSA has received some complaints from its members about their medical schemes that they belong to, ranging from increases in premiums to reduction of benefits. We would like to recommend that those members who may feel hard done by their schemes to report the matter to the medical schemes statutory body, Council for Medical Schemes (CMS).
Members of medical schemes can lay complaint about their medical schemes to the Council for Medical Schemes (CMS), which is a statutory body for medical schemes in South Africa. The Complaints Adjudication Unit with the Council looks after complaints from the members of medical schemes and the public and ensure that members are treated fairly.
