Nurses celebrate International Nurses Day on 12 May

Nurses across provinces gathered on Friday, 12 May to celebrate International Nurses Day. The celebration was a huge success as the event attracted thousands of nurses. Four provinces, Mpumalanga, North West, Gauteng and Limpopo all held their celebration on Friday, 12 May while Western Cape celebrated theirs on Saturday, 13 May.

In Mpumalanga

The day started off with nurses Health Walk to bible church from 09:00-10:00.

The celebration started off with nurses Health Walk to Word of Life Bible Church (Shatale) from 09:00-10:00.

The DENOSA Head of Bargaining, Organising and Campaigns Unit Jabulane Magagula and the DENOSA Head of Professional Matters Fina Sesthedi were present at the celebration.

Member of National Office Bearers and 2^nd Deputy President of DENOSA, Thandeka Msibi delivered keynotes address.

ANC Mpumalanga Deputy Provincial Chairperson, Deputy Speaker of the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature Violet Siwela delivered a massage of support and also Provincial Secretary of COSATU David Thabo Mokoena.

The celebration finished off with awards giving ceremony.
