Your profession is in good hands – DENOSA General Secretary tells retired nurses
DENOSA General Secretary, Oscar Phaka, assured retired nurses at the International Nurses Day commemoration for North West in Rustenburg on 12 May that the noble profession they had left in the hands of the new generation is still in good hands.
More than 15 retired nurses had attended the provincial event which was held at Paardekraal outside Rustenburg. They occupied the front row seat, as a symbol of the stalwarts that they are in the profession.
Phaka said: “Yes, the profession is going through some troubled waters. But, be rest assured that it is still in good hands.”
He said the negative public perception about the profession is a result of many challenges that nursing is faced with.
