DENOSA North West honours past provincial leaders at IND event
DENOSA in North West honoured its past provincial leaders during the International Nurses Day commemoration at the Paardekraal Community Hall outside Rustenburg on 12 May, for their role in steading the DENOSA North West ship throughout the years.
The first recipient of the honour, who received a trophy and a certificate, was former DENOSA Provincial Secretary and current DENOSA 1st Deputy President, Modise Letsatsi. He was awarded in absentia, as he was to address the International Nurses Day event in the Western Cape, which was held on Saturday 13 May. The second leader to receive the award was former DENOSA North West Chairperson and current head of Professional Matters at DENOSA, Fina Setshedi. She was also absent from the event as she attended the Mpumalanga provincial IND.
The province also awarded its former Provincial Secretary and current General Secretary at DENOSA, Oscar Phaka. He was present as he had been deployed to deliver a key message at the event.
Present at the event was COSATU Deputy General Secretary and former COSATU Provincial Secretary in North West, Solly Phetoe.
