DENOSA Eastern Cape Congress
DENOSA Eastern Cape successfully held its three-day 8th Provincial Congress, themed ‘revitalizing organizational unity and cohesion to advance member servicing’. Scheduled for 22-24 November 2018, delegates congregated to review the progress of the organization and recognizing and honoring hard working regions and shop-stewards in the province in a form of an award ceremony. Addressing the congress, The Second Deputy President Comrade Thandeka Msibi emphasized the need to pressure the Minister of Health to intensify safety for nurses in hospitals and clinics and to employ more suitable staff to relieve nurses from performing out of scope duties. She further encouraged unity within DENOSA and the protection of the nursing profession.

Upon closing the congress the newly elected Chairperson Comrade Suvuyile Mange, shared the same sentiments with those of the Second Deputy President, encouraging all delegates to be united and continue to work in strengthening DENOSA and protecting the nursing profession.
