DENOSA Mpumalanga attend NHI Bill Provincial Consultation in White River
DENOSA delegation in Mpumalanga attended the NHI Bill Provincial Consultation that was held at Premier's Hotel in White River on 10 October 2019.
Both the MEC of Health in the province, Sasekani Manzini, and HOD, Dr Savera Mohangi, were in attendance.
The delegation engaged on the nuts and bolts of the National Health Insurance as it is a way to bring about Universal Health Coverage to South Africa in our lifetime, where everyone gets access to equal quality healthcare, whether they are rich or poor.
DENOSA is in full support of the NHI, and wants it implemented as of yesterday.
The NHI Bill seeks to create a single-purchaser model for healthcare services where funds from both private and public health sectors are pooled together for the better good of all citizens.
