DENOSA held its three-day National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting at DENOSA Head Office in Pretoria starting on Tuesday 10 December.

 
 
Minister of Health, Dr Zweli Mkhize, addressed the meeting, accompanied by Deputy Director-General in the department, Dr Pillay. The main chunk of his areas that the minister addressed were on National Health Insurance (NHI). 
 
Among the key areas that he briefed the NEC on were:
 
- Shortage of staff: this is the key area where he is committing to addressing for efficient running of the NHI as well as production of nurses and other health professionals. 
 
- Human Resource Development;
 
- Transformed management with a different mindset; 
 
- Rearrangement of management;
 
- Infrastructure; 
 
The meeting continued where the NEC engaged the Minister.
