As health workers are on the frontline of the Coronavirus response, they are at great risk of infection, overwork, stress, fatigue and stigma. 

To safeguard health workers from infection, health workers are reminded by Public Services International (PSI) (the global federation for trade unions in the public service) that they have rights which should be upheld at all times and there are laws that uphold their rights that must be adhered to in the workplace. If health workers feel their right to safety are not upheld, they are urged to contact their union shop steward in the workplace or contact the union’s provincial offices.
