Nkangala regions hold joint regional shop steward council meeting

Nkangala and Nkangala West Regions in Mpumalanga had their successful joint Regional Shop Steward Council (RSSC) on the 18th of February 2014 at Witbank Hospital (Nurses Boardroom), in preparation for regional congresses that are starting early in March 2014.
The RSSC was blessed by DENOSA MP Provincial Organizer Cde Nhlanhla Dladla, DENOSA MP FTSS Cde Phinah Mashile, COSATU Provincial Organizer Cde David Mokoena, SACP Provincial Chairperson Cde Ambrose Mnisi, SACP Provincial Media Liaison Officer Cde Tinyiko Ndini, two delegates from Old Mutual and all Regional Leaders of both Regions. All Locals were represented as follows: Dr JS Moroka 22 delegates, Thembisile Hani Local 9 delegates, Emalahleni Local16 delegates, Victor Khanye Local 5 delegates, Steve
Tshwete and Emakhazeni Local, 17 delegates.
This Council took a resolution of issuing a media statement on Stopping the community on Burning Clinics in this Region as there are already three clinics burned since last year including the recently one in Delmas and the issue of Community killing Nurses and Doctors. The Media Statement supported by COSATU and SACP.
This Council also took a break during visiting hours of patients and went to the wards of Witbank hospital to do rounds and the visibility of DENOSA with New Regional Burners that were sponsored by Old Mutual for all seven Regions of Mpumalanga as they were unveiled in this meeting.
Amongst the Council s agenda was PMDS, OSD and Translations reports, Membership and Recruitment reports, Outlining the Regional Congresses processes, items for Congresses discussion document including the issue of electing National and Provincial Secretaries of DENOSA.
