International Nurses Day in Mpumalanga was held on the 14th of May at Samora Machel in Embuzini village where nurses came from all the corners of the province to celebrate this important day, which was a dignified event.

Guest speaker at event was DENOSA National Treasurer, cde John Tladi. Also present as guests were DENOSA Limpopo chairperson, COSATU, SACP. Hospitals that were represented by nurses are: Standerton Hospital, Ermelo Hospital, Carolina Hospital, Embhuleni Hospital, Rob Ferreira Hospital, Tonga Hospital, Shongwe, Mapulaneng Hospital, Sabie Hospital, Tintshwalo Hospital, Delmas Hospital, Belfast, Middleburg Hospital, Witbank Hospital, Mameklakhe Hospital, Kwamhlanga Hospital. 

The Mawewe Tribal Authority welcomed nurses with warm hands.

Mkhatshwa is based at Standerton Hospital, and is Lekwa and Dipaliseng Local

Secretary.
