Mpumalanga the best recruiting province for 2013
It’s official! DENOSA Mpumalanga was the top province in terms of recruitment for the combined 12 months in 2013. This was announced at the DENOSA National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting that took place from 3rd to the 5th of April this year at DENOSA head office in Pretoria.
This was announced by the National Organiser, Itumeleng Molatlhegi, when analysis of the performance of province in terms of recruitment was under the microscope at the meeting. Mpumalanga’s performance was in line with DENOSA’s overall recruitment and retention strategy.
Accepting the reward on behalf of the province, Provincial Secretary, Silence Matsane could not hold his excitement as he thanked every structure of DENOSA which made the success possible for the province. “This would not have been possible without the hard work of our recruiters, shop stewards, organiser and every leader and every structure of the organisation in the province. It’s easy to get to the top, but know it’s difficult to remain there. We will make sure we keep this trophy come next year,” he said. National Treasurer and deployee to oversee Mpumalanga, John Tladi, said change in tactics is what resulted in the province getting the winning combination. “Learning the winning recipe from provinces who did well in the past is the main reason behind this performance,” he said.
Deputy Chairperson, Mzwandile Shongwe, said the commitment shown by ordinary members to the organisation has shown a formidable DENOSA that has become the envy of every nurse. “The energy that our members carry the work of the organisation, criss-crossing the province in the attempt to unite nurses in the province is amazing.”
Last year, the winner of the trophy was KwaZulu-Natal. They vowed to take back what they deemed as rightfully belonging to there province, said chairperson Sibonelo Cele and Cassim Lekhoathi, Provincial Secretary.
