DENOSA salute Forensic Nurses this Women's Month.
With the month of August dedicated as Women's Month in South Africa, DENOSA would like to pay a special tribute to and highlight the essential work of Forensic Nurses to societal issues like the increasing Gender-Based Violence cases.
As a specialty often based at Thuthuzela Care Centres, forensic nursing cares for victims in such a way that nurses also collect evidence which they hand over to law enforcement agencies, which supports the multidisciplinary team's effort of restoring the dignity for victims and bringing perpetrators to justice.
They turn victims to survivors.
This Women's Month, DENOSA salute all Forensic Nurses out there who are as passionate about their work as they are in caring for the victims of violence...❤ ❤ ❤
