DENOSA sends provincial leaders and head office staff to management training
With the funding from Skills Development SETA thanks to its HR department, DENOSA is enrolling some of its provincial leaders and head office managers for a Fundamental Management Programme (FMP), conducted by the North West University\\\'s School of Business, Potchefstroom Campus.
The training forms part of capacitating the organisation\\\'s representatives into servicing members excellently, in line with DENOSA vision of striving for service excellence.
Five chaierpersons from the provinces, a treasurer and managers based at head office commenced with the six-month studies in March in Pretoria, which is an NQF Level5 SAQA qualification. The course focuses on four modules namely: Effective Managerial Habits, Management of People, Financial and Managerial Accounting, as well as Operations Management.
Leader of the group and chairperson of Limpopo, Alfred Makoana, said the course is having a huge positive impact already. \\\"It surely assists us in our daily operations as released shop stewards for the organisation as well as managers at head office as coordinators in terms of how we approach the whole issue of serving the organisation.\\\"
The course compises of two blocks of contact classes for four days. The block block of contact classes was in March, and the last block was from 27 to 30 May 2014.
The sit-in exams will be held in July.
