DENOSA Eastern Cape embark on outreach programme on Heritage Day

While the country celebrated Heritage Day on 24 September, DENOSA members at St Lucy’s Hospital embarked on a community outreach programme where they visited residents at Nomhala Local in Tsolo in the Mhlontlo Municipality conscientising the community about health matters, including Ebola. 

They joined a local imbizo (local meeting) where they informed members of community about various health conditions, hypertension, diabetes, prevention of spread of TB, para suicide of teenagers, HIV and AIDS, including how Ebola is spread.  

 

Members had their blood pressures checked and medication issued on the spot.
