With less than seven days before the DENOSA 7th National Congress gets underway at the Birchwood Hotel in Boksburg from 30 October to 1 November, the organisation is waiting for the big event to happen.
Leaders, shop stewards and officials have been working around the clock for the big event, which takes place once every four years. The national congress is the highest decision-making structure of the organisation where national office bearers of the organisation get elected to lead organisation for a period of four years.
More than 600 delegates from all structures of the organisation will embrace the event with their presence, where matters of nurses as both professionals and workers will be looked into with a great sense of specificity, with great emphasis on consolidating the voice and unity of nurses.
Guests to address the congress will include leaders from the ANC, SACP, COSATU, South African government, and the regulatory body for nursing in the country, South African Nursing Council (SANC) as well as guests from health organisations from the region and internationally.
The congress will be held under the theme: “Advancing unity for Nurses.”
