Nurses in Limpopo celebrate International Nurses Day in Seshego

nternational Nurses Day in Limpopo got off to a good start at Ngoako Ramatlhodi Sports Complex in Seshego where Health MEC in the province briefed all nursing stakeholders.

He said nurses play a critical role in  the health service. "Even young doctors get introduced to the way the equipment works by nurses," he said.

"You (nurses) take care of people at the most vulnerable stage of their lives. But the one thing for sure is that we changing of health in this province, one hospital a time. That is why i have come here: to pay tribute to your work."

Thousands of nurses have converged to the venue from all  corners of the province, where they painted Seshego red.

All health stakeholders gathered, namely Provincial Department of Health, Department of Correctional service, Department of Defence, private hospistals and all trade unions including DENOSA.
