DENOSA Learner Movement in Limpopo co-hosts successful sporting event

DENOSA Learner Movement in Limpopo held its successful sporting event on 18 July at Giyani stadium, and later at Giyani Nursing campus. The event was merged with SRC’s event. During the day there were various sporting activities such as chess, soccer and netball.
Campuses that participated were Mpumalanga College of Nursing, University Of Limpopo Turfloop campus, Thohoyandou campus, Giyani campus, Waterberg campus, Sovenga campus and Sekhukhune campus.
Old Mutual, being the main sponsor of the event, was there and they were also given a platform to convey the message of support to all the members who packed the hall. They were selling their policies and students who were enquiring were given pens.
DENOSA provided the following:
•Transportation of three campuses which are Waterberg, Sovenga and Sekhukhune campus
•Medals for chess, netball and soccer
•Pens for members who were present at the event
•Stethoscope to members who were there (members were choosing between pen and stethoscope)
•Recruitment of new members was also in process during the day
Deployed from the office was cde Sipho Khosa and from national Student movement was Deputy General Secretary cde Vincent Mukhari who also rendered key note address to the masses who attended the event.
University of Limpopo and Mpumalanga College of Nursing were crowned champions in soccer and they were given trophies each, whereas Giyani campus won the netball trophy.
The students were very pleased with what DENOSA did and they recommend it should be done on a yearly basis.
