DENOSA Western Cape held its 8th Provincial Congress at the Fountains Hotel in Cape Town CBD from 5-7 December 2018. Under the theme ‘Revitalizing Organizational Unity and Cohesion to Advance Member Servicing’, the congress reflected on the 2015-2018 term and resolved on nursing matters and elected the new provincial leadership to serve the 2019-2022 term.
The congress was joined by COSATU Western Cape Provincia Chairperson Motlatse Tsubane, and Western Cape Provincial Minister of Health, Nomafrench Mbobo. During their addresses to the congress, both guests spoke of the importance of unity within the organization, emphasizing that unity always results in the better servicing of members and the effective participation by the organization in nursing-related stakeholder engagements.
