RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct research relevant to Health Policies and nursing practice
• Analyse local and international Health trends with a view to influence organizational activities and strategies
• Develop nurse’s capacity to conduct research and publishing
• Investigate competitive programmes strategies relevant to the core business of the organisation
• Assign, follow up and checking of revised manuscripts
• Source article reviewers
• Recording decisions on behalf of Chief Editor
• Market the Curationis Journal on social media platforms
• Publicise findings of research in peer reviewed journals
• Planning and execution of operational research as it relates to the work of the organisation
• Develop, implement and monitoring of a Research Strategy for the organisation

REQUIREMENTS

• Master’s degree in Nursing and/or equivalent 
• 3-5 years research experience in health or nursing fields will be considered
• Experience in managing research including qualitative and quantitative research(Experience would serve as an added advantage)
• Ability to do a critical analysis of health and nursing related journal articles
• Track record of research conducted
• Insight into health system issues relevant to nursing
• Ability to operate as a team member
• Competency in computer databases and  various software packages
• A valid South African drivers licence
• Excellent verbal communication, analyses and report writing skills
