DENOSA wrapped up the Youth Month on 30 June by holding a Solomon Mahlangu lecture in East London in the Eastern Cape.
Solomon Mahlangu was a youth and the youngest freedom fighter to be hanged by the apartheid regime.
The lecture was addressed by the SACP spokesperson in Eastern Cape, Siyabonga Mdodi, and Deputy Principal of Lilitha College of Nursing, Pastor Mashudu. Before the address, attendees embarked on a health walk on the street of East London, spreading a symbolic message of healthy living.
DENOSA Region C chairperson, Zodwa Gqirhana, DENOSA National Learner Movement 1st Deputy Chairperson, Lethu Nontlanga, Regional Deputy Secretary of DENOSA in Region C and Chairperson of DENOSA Provincial Learner Movement in Eastern Cape, Bathandwa Mlatha, provincial leadership of DENOSA Learner Movement were all present at the meeting.
