DENOSA Northern Cape "20-not-out" Celebration
On Saturday 26 November, the Democratic Nursing Organisation of South Africa (DENOSA) in Northern Cape hosted the provincial 20 years celebration of DENOSA’s existence at Tabernacle in Kimberley.
Nurses around the province can in numbers to celebrate what has been good but a prolonged journey for DENOSA as a union.
Ms Daphney Mohulatsi started the off the celebration by addressing the crowd on how DENOSA was formed and how they will keep it together in order to continue uniting nurses.
Amongst the invited guests was Anele Gxoyiya, the Congress of South African Trade Unions (COSATU) provincial secretary who gave a message of support to the organisation.
Present at the celebration, DENOSA general secretary Oscar Phaka gave keynote address about the event leading to the national celebration taking place on 5 December.
The organisation also remembered those fallen nurses who passed on this year by lighting candles which was done by Ms Matupane.
Other provinces such as Western Cape, Gauteng and Mpumalanga all celebrated their provincial 20 year of DENOSA existence on 25 November respectively.
