DENOSA wishes POPCRU well in their congress

The Democratic Nursing Organisation of South Africa (DENOSA) wishes POPCRU well in their congress, which is currently underway at Durban ICC.

POPCRU holds its 8th congress at a time when workers are faced with great challenges and devisions in their unions and in the federation Cosatu.

These challenges have opened a gap for employer to undermine the strength of trade unions. The public servants are faced with massive rejection and provocation from the employer despite police, doctors and nurses being termed essential service workers. Public servants are resigning in large numbers because of unfavourable working conditions and poor salaries. Members of the community are affected by unsatisfactory service delivery due to shortage of staff and resources.

We wish them successful deliberations that will unite workers in this country and uphold the plight of the working class to fight exploitation of workers in both private and public sector.
