𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿-𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗩𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀.

Revolutionary greetings,
The Progressive Women’s Movement of South Africa would like to invite you to a historical march to the
Union Buildings on the 29th of November 2024. This event falling within the internationally recognized 16
Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence will be used as a platform toadvocate for legislative
reforms to increase penalties including reparation to victims of genderbased violence and their families, as it
is the obligation of the State to respect, protect, promote and fulfil the rights of all people.

The march reaffirms PWMSA mandate of uniting the women of South Africa, strengthening the relationship
between the government and women’s organisations, and to fight against the discrimination of women in all
spheres of life. Furthermore, this march is organised to safeguard constitutional rights as enunciated in the
Constitution to enshrine the rights of all people in our country and affirm that everyone is equal before the
law, and has the right to equal protection and benefit of the law.
