Each year, and subject to funding availability, DENOSA takes on many students from varied skills sets and those who have graduated into an internship programme with the organisation. DENOSA offers its members bursary opportunity to study in the nursing field. Application forms can be obtained from DENOSA provincial offices. To qualify for a DENOSA bursary, a member must have been a DENOSA member for at least two years uninterrupted. Applications for the DENOSA bursary open end of October each year and the closing date is 31 January each year for the academic year for which an application is made. Members must visit this page for the listing of new application date for the DENOSA bursary for download between October and January. Furthermore, children and dependants of DENOSA members enjoy another bursary opportunity with the Old mutual Education Trust, to study for the course of their choice with any university or a university of technology of their choice.

DENOSA offers travel grant opportunity for its members, for purposes of attending and presenting at
a nursing-related conference or event outside of South Africa. Application for the Travel Grant is subject to approval by DENOSA
