DENOSA runs a number of projects
Whose end results are to promote quality health for the population of South Africa.
These projects are:
• MDR-TB and HIV/AIDS nurse educators training workshop
• Non-Communicable Diseases
• DENOSA/SADTU on Grow Your Tree project
• MDR-TB and HIV/AIDS nurse educators training workshop
The MDR-TB and HIV/AIDS nurse educators training is a four day workshop and training project that targets nurse educators from nursing institutions through the province, training them on MDR TB management and treatment. Working with URC, coordinated by DENOSA Professional Institute (DPI) and facilitated by the Department of Health, the project aims to train about 200 nurse educators by June 2012, who in turn incorporate such knowledge into their school curriculum and impart the new knowledge to nursing students, so they are well-informed about the treatment and management of MDR-TB and HIV/AIDS co-infection. The project began in November 2012, with Gauteng inaugurating the training programme.
The four-day training workshops are being held throughout provinces.
