At least 20 DENOSA representatives are attending the Africa Health Medlab Africa 2024 Conference that got underway on 22 October 2024 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) in Cape Town until 24 Octover 2024.
The conference focuses on how high-tech equipment and diagnostics can be utilised to help improve the healthcare services for patients in the African continent.
Africa Health have partnered with DENOSA at this year’s edition. As expected, a contingent of nurses from various healthcare settings are also attending this important conference.
The DENOSA delegation is led by Deputy General Secretary, Khaya Sodidi; Western Cape Provincial Chairperson, Eleanor Roberts; and Provincial Secretary, Sabelo Ntshanga, among others.
The conference has various streams where presentations on cutting-edge technology-driven equipment that is ready for the healthcare sector, to be utilized by nurses, are delivered to the captivated audiences.
“As we gear up for the NHI as a country starting in 2026, it is crucial that all different professionals in the healthcare settings are exposed to all the advancements that are on offer in both equipment and infrastructure these days” says Sodidi.
“That is why we are here together with many nurses. Information technology systems, digitization and Artificial Intelligence (AI) must all be there to fast-track the delivery of best quality healthcare services to our communities at the shortest possible time for both healthcare staff and patients.”
