After well over 30 years of unblemished and solid service excellence to the DENOSA’s Office of the General Secretary at the Head Offices in Pretoria, DENOSA bid farewell to one of its remaining longest serving staff member.

Johanna Baloyi, affectionately known as “ausi Nana” bowed out of service after serving the organisation for over 30 good years at its head Office in Pretoria as she went on retirement.

Her farewell function was held at the Manhattan Hotel in Pretoria on Friday, in the presence of her family members former, colleagues and current staff of DENOSA.

Her office has been the engine room for the organisation, being the first person to receive communique directed to the organisation, and often the last office to rubber-stamp communication to the stakeholders in the outside world of DENOSA.

She has facilitated meetings of DENOSA and briefing sessions with highest offices in the land, up to the Presidency.

When DENOSA was officially launched on 5 December 1996 at the Union Buildings, which was addressed by then President Nelson Rholirharha Mandela, her office would have been quite pivotal in securing the great statesman, including the Minister of Health at the time, Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma.

The sittings of DENOSA’s highest decision-making structures, like the NEC, would not be possible without ausi Nana, whose focus and calm demeanor told of the experience and rare quality employee that she has been.

As she bows out of service, DENOSA wishes her a safe, healthy and memorable retirement.
