MEDIA RELATIONS
The Communications department continues to issue media statements on policy, health, political, professional and real life issues. All statements are distributed extensively to the South African Press Association (SAPA), electronic, print, on line media, COSATU, Department of Health, internally & to all other relevant stakeholders.

The department continues to conduct media interviews in the process communicating DENOSA’s victories, concerns, position, activities etc. We further arrange media slots for our leaders and certain managers on national television stations and radios.

NURSING UPDATE
This important monthly magazine is Edited and Managed by the Communications desk. It remains one of the most effective communication channels for DENOSA to communicate with members and the public.

MEDIA MONITORING
Ornico – monitors the media for DENOSA and COSATU provides further media monitoring services.

DENOSA Info
This is an electronic e-mail (info@denosa.org.za) system where members and the general public can ask questions, request information, complain and even join the organization. Communications monitors this e mail

COSATU MEDIA FORUM
This forum consists of all COSATU affiliate communicators and other relevant partners. It is there to ensure effective COSATU and affiliates communication and visibility in the media.

DENOSA’s Communications Manager represents DENOSA in the COSATU Media-Forum.

SOCIAL MEDIA
For more interaction with nurses and stakeholders DENOSA has 10 Facebook groups, which consist of the main group under the name ‘DENOSA’ and nine provincial groups (i.e. DENOSA Mpumalanga, DENOSA Free State etc.). You can also follow us on Twitter under the name ‘DENOSAORG’.
