As 5 December 2023 marks the organisation’s 27th anniversary, DENOSA reflects on the road travelled thus far and on the connectedness with the great statesman and the Father of the Nation, tata Madiba.
It was on this day in 1996 at the Union Buildings, Pretoria, that DENOSA was officially launched, in the presence of Madiba.
Concidentally, it was on this day 10 years ago that tata Madiba passed on.
Today is 27 years since DENOSA was born, which, coincidentally, is the total number of years that this great statesman spent in jail.
As we grow older, we continue to reflect and gain strength on the message that Madiba gave us on our launch day on 5 December when he said: “We have great and realistic expectations of Denosa, and so does the rest of the country. You dare not let us down.”
As we commemorate our 27th anniversary, we also commemorate the 10 years since Madiba left us. May his Soul continue to rest in Peace.
