Celebrating 27 years of uniting nurses

DENOSA Mpumalanga Student Movement to hold 7th Provincial Congress on 4 & 5 December in Mbombela

MBOMBELA – The Democratic Nursing Organisation of South Africa (DENOSA) Student Movement in Mpumalanga will hold its 7th Provincial Congress from 4 to 5 December at Nutting House Lodge in Mbombela, which will be addressed by Mpumalanga Health MEC, DENOSA Deputy General Secretary and COSATU Young Workers Forum among others.  

The students will engage robustly on issues that are affecting student nurses in the province for both public and private sectors as well as issues that affect students in the country, including the Impact of the curriculum change on the nursing education, nursing profession and patient care.

To be held under the theme “Nursing students advocating for the realisation of nursing education as the critical indication of community health”,the Congress will be addressed by the DENOSA Deputy General Secretary, Kwena Manamela, the MEC of Health in Mpumalanga, Honourable Sasekani Manzini, PYA Structures namely ANCYL, SASCO, YCL, COSATU Young Workers Forum and the SRC of the Mpumalanga College of Nursing.

The Congress will be also electing the new Provincial Office Bearers of DENOSA Mpumalanga Student Movement that will be leading Student nurses for the next two years to come.

The two-day congress will discuss and pronounce on the following critical and pertinent matters:

– Nursing Education;  

– Professional Matters;

– Political Matters;

– Organisational Development; and  

– Socio-economic Matters
