Celebrating 27 years of uniting nurses

PSI 31st World Congress concludes in Geneva after emphasizing People over Profit.

Wednesday 18 October 2023 marks the last day of the Public Services International (PSI) 31st World Congress that is currently held in Geneva, Switzerland with the congress placing a great emphasis on the need to prioritize people over profits in the global public sector sphere.

The last day is the culmination of robust engagements that have been held for many days, which commenced on 14 October, over the working environment for the public servants in a period that is increasingly marred by multiple crises in the world.

DENOSA, as a representative voice of nursing and nursing in South Africa, has been part of this congress, led by its 2nd Deputy President, Thandeka Msibi, who also serves as the Vice-President of PSI in Southern Africa; General Secretary, Kwena Manamela; Free State Chairperson, Thibogang Thole; and the Student Movement Deputy National Secretary, Boitumelo Maila.

The DENOSA delegation is in the company of DENOSA Marketing and International Relations Manager, Heather Sam.

The congress will officially announce those elected into the PSI Executive Board.
