This is to update you that GEMS met our Deadline of 6 May 2026 for the review of the 9.5% increase.
We hereby report that the GEMS Board has acceded to the demand of the decrease of the premiums charged on members.
GEMS has reduced the premium to 7.5% effective from 1 July 2026 going forward for all members.
The other demands, that we have given GEMS 3 weeks deadline to review, are still pending.
These will be discussed in the upcoming meeting with GEMS.
OUR DEMANDS:
- Exorbitant remuneration of the Board.
- Co-payments reduction.
- Benefits structure.
- Recusal of the CEO.
- Price bargaining on medical items for members.
