On 21 March 2023, DENOSA issued a correspondence [MSD 3 OF 2023].
The correspondence was seeking a mandate from members and structures whether DENOSA should sign the Final Offer of 7.5% tabled by the State [Employer] in the Public Service and Coordinating Bargaining Council (PSCBC).
The correspondence further dissected the 7.5%, giving the real increase against of what had been purported by the employer and those unions that are in favour of the final offer.
Following the process, the members and structures responded by overwhelmingly rejecting the pseudo 7.5% increase.
On 29 March 2023, DENOSA convened a special NEC meeting to consolidate the responses from provinces.
Informed by the responses, NEC RESOLVED that DENOSA will not sign the final offer tabled by the employer.
The NEC further mandated the negotiators to continue with the demand of 10% salary increase and the implementation of the signed Settlement Agreement.
